Situation
cUnderwriter’s vision is to transform the commercial real estate industry from the traditional spreadsheet method of underwriting to using to a more modern database and web-based approach.
Solution
Langtech worked with cUnderwriter to develop a secure, web-based infrastructure that would allow commercial underwriters to do all of their data entry and property portfolio analysis all within a web application. We used a complete Microsoft architecture, combined with Crystal Reports to handle the robust reporting requirements. The challenge was to create an interface that would closely mimic the look, functionality and flexibility of an Excel model while providing the strong data integrity of a database.
Current Status
The cUnderwriter application was successfully implemented and is now in full production at Greenwich Capital, Countrywide and AIG. Langtech is currently working with cUnderwriter to develop the next generation ASP model of the application.
