Software Project Manager
Langtech is seeking an Agile Project Manager (APM) responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating Agile and traditional software development teams. The APM’s goals are to achieve a high level of performance and quality and to deliver Agile projects that provide exceptional business value to clients.
We are looking specifically for someone with experience as a Project Manager delivering software products, applications or mobile Apps.
The APM will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using Agile methods in a fast-paced environment that will involve coordinating multiple local and offshore resources

The Day-to-Day
What You'll Do

Develop specifications based on client requirements

Define project scope with Product Owner and development team

Maintain focus on timeline and timely delivery of value

Organize and lead project status meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports

Manage risks and issues; correcting deviations from plans and performing delivery planning for assigned projects

Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance
-
Assist in team development; holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring team members; ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution; encouraging a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team

Who You Are
Required Qualifications

Working knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment

2+ years of professional experience working with SCRUM/Agile methodologies on application development projects;

4+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager managing complex, high security software product or App projects in a high-tech development environment.

Solid understanding of the software development life cycle

Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams

Evaluate and address complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively

Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with customers

Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building

Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands

Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives and goals are reached

Creative approach to problem solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view

Demonstrated experience of collaboration using Jira and the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Strong verbal and written English required

Experience working with remote teams (our teams are located in India and South America)
